Food in Granada
Tuesday, November 25th, 2008The food in Granada as is the case throughout the whole of Andalucia is both delightful and utterly unique. There is definitely a hint of influence from its Arab ancestry through the use of certain spices and flavourings, particularly true of the desserts from this region. The tapas in Granada is note worthy indeed and allows you to sample anything and everything!
Many of the dishes benefit from the geographical location of Granada by consisting of the fresh ingredients grown and produced locally in the area. Fresh vegetables, olive oil, vinegar and salt are prevalent in most dishes specific to Granada, and the dishes most associated with the area are stews and soups. All of course are made with only the freshest of ingredients from the local area.
